For many years, I have heard politicians talk about eliminating waste in government. It never happens because they really don’t know how to do it, even if they wanted to. This past weekend, President Obama pointed to the U.S. government as being too confusing and complex. “It’s a mess,” he said, “and I want to propose some initiatives that will reduce, simplify, and streamline government agencies.”
